Our Minister -
Reverend Joy Wyler
Personal Mission Statement: I use humor, compassion and insight to inspire others to claim their Divine power and to lead joyous lives of abundance and service. As I live the Truth I know, I teach, minister, counsel and celebrate with others creating a world of harmony.
Joy Wyler is an ordained Unity minister from the class of 2004. She served as Youth and Family minister at Unity Temple on the Plaza and as an administrative consultant to the Association of Unity Churches International and Unity School of Christianity moving Unity Institute towards an accredited academic degree program. Joy is the author of several youth lesson series and writes a bi-weekly spiritual thought she calls, “Reflections from the backyard”. Her spiritual story was featured in the May 2007 Daily Word. She chairs the Diversity Awareness sub-team for the Association of Unity Churches International.
Joy’s background includes a B.S. in Medical Technology from Kansas State University at Pittsburg (go Gorillas) and a Juris Doctorate in law from The University of Missouri at Kansas City. Her work has included laboratory science, the practice of law in the areas of family and juvenile law, over eleven years in the corporate practice of law as general counsel for the pediatric hospital in Kansas City and adjunct faculty for Ottawa University and Unity.
Joy is the single mother of two adopted young adult children, Victor and Kari. Victor is living in the Overland Park Kansas L'Arche community and Kari is a college student at Johnson County Community College. The Wylers are active in the national peer support group for short statured individuals, Little People of America and support pet rescue through HAHS.

Board of Trustees - The board is a team that guides the church spiritually and financially. While the work of the board often involves budgets, personnel and facilities, the board members also sign a pledge to support the church through their tithes, their prayers, and their commitment to apply Unity principles to any situation.

Staff -
Office Manager - Laura Hitcho
Laura has been serving Unity of Lehigh Valley since January 2007. She oversees the daily operations of the church including preparing for services, managing the multimedia resources (website, weekly email, video slide announcements), coordinating volunteers, and assisting the Board Trustees, leadership team and church members. Laura, her husband Michael and daughter, Ashlyn, live in Bethlehem, PA.
Music Director - Scott Eggert
A native of New Jersey, Scott has been singing and playing professionally for over sixteen years touring both the US and Europe, playing everything from classic rock to R&B to old fashioned blues. He has entertained on board the USS Intrepid for the US Navy and at countless festivals opening for such diverse acts as Buster Poindexter, The Romantics, The Marshall Tucker Band, and Molly Hatchett. He is also a specialist in traditional African and Native American music and a featured artist with the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts. We are very blessed to enjoy Scott's wonderful musical talents.

Licensed Unity Teacher - Wilma Alvarez. Licensed Unity Teachers have a very important role in the Unity movement, and in Unity churches. They contribute to our understanding of Unity principles by teaching classes,facilitating study groups and providing spiritual leadership in the church. A Licensed Unity Teacher has successfully completed at least three years of training in basic Unity principles, metaphysics, Bible, and leadership development through our Association of Unity Churches and Unity School of Christianity.

Teams - Unity also offers many opportunities for it’s members to discover and develop their gifts and talents, as demonstrated by the various teams that support the smooth functioning of the church. Team leaders are empowered to think creatively and take initiative in fulfilling their responsibilities, and are encouraged to grow through their involvement within the community. From sound, to maintenance, to hospitality, to our amazing choir, our teams are an indispensable part of the Unity experience.
