Unity of Lehigh Valley was incorporated as a Unity church in 1978. As related by one of our founding members, the desire from the beginning was to create a community where lives would be changed by the transformational teachings of "practical Christianity." I
discovered Unity while living in New Orleans. The year was 1977. It changed
my life. When my mother died suddenly and I moved back to the Lehigh Valley,
there were only two Unity churches in the State of Pennsylvania: Philadelphia
and Pittsburgh. My cousin David Miller, who had been studying Unity books
announced to me "we are going to start a new church here in the Lehigh
Valley, a Unity church!". After telling David he was crazy, I had
to admit that both our lives had been changed dramatically through this
"school of practical Christianity" whose headquarters was in
Lee Summit, Missouri. ...a mighty oak has grown! Since then, Unity of Lehigh Valley has offered many services and programs dedicated to the spiritual education and development of it’s members. In keeping with UNITY’s three-fold emphasis on Prayer, Education and Publishing, in addition to our weekly worship services, ULV has an active prayer team, ongoing classes and workshops through the week and a bookstore on the premises. Our Prayer Team
We carry a large selection of books, audio tapes and cards for your spiritual and personal development needs. The bookstore is staffed on Sunday mornings and during office hours throughout the week.
Unity also offers many opportunities for it’s members to discover and develop their gifts and talents, as demonstrated by the various teams that support the smooth functioning of the church. Team leaders are empowered to think creatively and take initiative in fulfilling their responsibilities, and are encouraged to grow through their involvement within the community. From sound, to maintenance, to hospitality, to our amazing choir, our teams are an indispensable part of the Unity experience.
